The workshop is taking place in the city of Catania in Italy. The town is noted for its history, culture, architecture, and gastronomy. The section of the city known as the “old town” features some of the most striking examples of baroque architecture in Italy and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Excursion Activity
We are also organizing an excursion on Saturday (23rd October 2021) to Taormina, “one of the most beautiful and magic place in the world”(TravelTaormina). Participation is optional, the costs of the tour are not included in the registration fee. More information will follow shortly.

Travel
Catania has a commercial seaport (Catania seaport), an international airport (Catania Fontanarossa), a central railway station (Catania Centrale).
The Catania Fontanarossa Airport is located 7 kilometers southwest of the city and handles domestic and international flights. Major airlines such as Alitalia, Lufthansa, and KLM offer services here and connect numerous European destinations such as Rome, Munich, Amsterdam, and Berlin.
